Jamie Heard is Vice President of Capital Markets at Tourmaline Oil Corporation, where he focuses on M&A, capital allocation, investor relations and strategy. Jamie was recently selected to be Tourmaline’s next CFO starting this November. Tourmaline is the largest natural gas producer in Canada and amongst the most profitable gas E&P’s in North America. Jamie joined Tourmaline in 2019 after a decade investing in and covering energy companies in banking, research and investing roles at Barclays, BMO, Citadel and Castleton.
An advocate for natural gas, Jamie regularly shares his perspective through industry panels, podcasts and X. He advises the next generation of finance professionals as a mentor to the Carleton and UofC student investment funds and the Calgary CFA society; he is also a regular volunteer in youth hockey. Jamie holds a Master’s in Finance from the University of Rochester, a Bachelor of Finance & Economics from Carleton University, and is a CFA Charterholder.
