Dr. Long Nguyen is a Medical Oncologist and Scientist at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and a Hold’em for Life Early Career Professor in Cancer Research in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. He leads a research program focused on uncovering how cancer cells evolve, adapt, and develop resistance to treatment, with the goal of advancing precision oncology and improving patient outcomes.

 His work has been published in leading scientific journals and has helped pioneer approaches to studying clonal dynamics in cancer. He has established collaborations across Canada and around the world, helping to elevate the global profile of Canadian cancer research.

As a committed educator and mentor, he has supervised the clinical and research training of numerous trainees. Through scientific leadership, innovation, and collaboration, he is helping shape the next generation of cancer research and care.
