Alexandra Petre is Chief Executive Officer of Deep Sky, a carbon removal project developer that brings together leading direct air capture technologies, permanent storage and commercial buyers to deliver high-quality, durable carbon removal. Under her leadership, Deep Sky delivered North America’s first certified, registry-issued direct air capture credits and is scaling its commercial portfolio across global markets.
Alex’s career spans operations, financial markets, energy, infrastructure and public policy. Before joining Deep Sky, she was chief operating officer at Bird and held roles at BlackRock, Accenture, the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat and the Embassy of Canada in Washington, DC. Alex serves on the board of Startec and is a mentor with the Creative Destruction Lab. She is committed to advancing women in leadership and supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs.
