Agapi Gessesse (ICD.D) is Chief Executive Officer of CILAR and Founder of Lehizibu Strategy & Consulting Group. She is recognized for bringing together governments, corporations, philanthropy, and communities to solve complex challenges that no single institution can solve alone. Throughout her career, Agapi has mobilized more than $62 million in investment, scaled multiple organizations through transformational growth, and led initiatives that increased employment outcomes from 56% to 87%.
She has served on more than 25 boards, advisory councils, and government task forces, including as Chair of Amnesty International Canada, and has advised leaders across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. A sought-after keynote speaker and media commentator, Agapi has delivered more than 50 keynote addresses and hundreds of national and international media appearances. Her work is redefining how institutions collaborate to create lasting economic and social impact.
