Avik is Managing Director, Head of Natural Resources for Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and serves as a member of the Private Investments Investment Committee. Prior to joining CPPIB, Avik was President & CEO of Remvest Energy Partners in Houston, USA. Previously, he was a Founder and Chief Financial Officer of Remora Energy, a private energy company. He has been active in the global energy sector since 1999 with roles across industry, private equity and investment banking. He has worked with a number of organizations including First Reserve, Deutsche Bank and EnCana Corporation. Avik is a member of the board of directors of Teine Energy and Crestone Peak Resources, where he serves as Chairman, as well as the boards of Seven Generations Energy, Longpoint Minerals, YPE and Enactus Canada. Avik is a co-founder of Coyotes Management LLC, the General Partner for the Arizona Coyotes Hockey Club.
